FrameMend Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
This policy explains how FrameMend, developed and published by ZMCurry, handles the photos you select and the app data it creates. FrameMend requires no account.
2. On-device photo processing
Photo reading, metadata viewing and cleanup, metadata editing, and copy verification happen on your device. FrameMend does not collect or upload photos, previews, file contents, file names, file paths, or EXIF/XMP metadata to a server. It never modifies the original photo.
3. Photo access
FrameMend uses Android system pickers to access only the photos you actively select for viewing, cleanup, editing, or copying a capture time from a reference photo. The app may read metadata already embedded in a selected file, including location data when present. It does not scan your photo library and does not request broad photo-library or photo-location permissions.
4. Data collection and sharing
FrameMend does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal or sensitive user data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud storage, or third-party data collection service, and it does not request internet access.
5. Data stored on your device
FrameMend stores your theme and default cleanup preset in the app's private storage. It also keeps up to five recent task summaries containing only the completion time, task type, and success or failure counts. These summaries do not contain photos, previews, file names, file paths, or photo metadata.
6. Exported copies and sharing
FrameMend creates a new copy only when you request it and saves that copy on your device. When you choose Share, the app opens the Android system share sheet. Any data sent to an app you select is then handled under that app's privacy policy.
7. Retention and deletion
Local settings and recent task summaries remain until you clear FrameMend's app data or uninstall the app. You can delete exported copies at any time using your device's file or photo tools. Because FrameMend does not collect or upload your data, it has no server-side copy to retain or delete.
8. Security
FrameMend reduces exposure by processing selected photos locally and by not transmitting them to a server. You remain in control of which photos to select, which changes to apply, whether to create a copy, and where to share it.
9. Changes to this policy
If FrameMend's data practices change, this page and the policy shown in the app will be updated. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
